Here, I’m sharing the books and devotionals I have read or am reading as I journey towards getting to know Jesus more and more each day. I hope you find this helpful as you look for inspiration and guidance on where to start in your own journey.

I know I’m not alone when I say it’s a challenge to go through the entire Bible (to say the least). This chronological bible tells the story following the sequence or timeline as it happened (instead of jumping from one point in time to another). I’ve never knew there was such thing as a chronological bible until my friend Kovy brought it up. It’s just like reading any other novel which makes it so much easier and interesting.

For a few weeks now, I’ve been reading this first thing in the morning when I wake up. I find that it’s the most effective way to make sure I read God’s word every day. If I don’t do it first thing, I will most likely forget to do it. This once a day bible let’s you read about 3 chapters a day which means you should by then finish the entire thing after 365 days. Each day has 1 chapter from the OT in the morning, 1 chapter from the NT in the evening, and a chapter from Psalms also for the evening. I like to do them all at once in the morning which takes me about 15-20 minutes. Yes, I’m a slow reader because I re-read lines multiple times to make sure I understand them lol.

This one is a new discovery I found from @brisouth on Instagram. I found it very inspiring to go through day by day especially if you need encouragement. It’s a nice reminder that God is with you and there’s really no reason to fear or worry.

Also a new discovery from @brisouth which I got the same time I got the 100 days to brave book. This one is an actual bible but it’s structured and provides reading plans that address very specific situations in your life. For example, if you need encouragement as a leader in your community, you will be guided on which chapters and verses you should go through to support you in that role.
