I like the sweet Filipino spaghetti taste but I also love the original Italian bolognese style. So I would say this is a perfect compromise and combination of both. I also think I did a pretty decent job finding the middle ground since both my Filipino and American friends love it.
Ingredients:
1⁄2 cup chopped garlic
1 cup chopped onions
1lb ground turkey (I think it’s a much healthier alternative and no one seems to notice that I’m not using the usual ground beef but feel free to switch it up)
1tsp salt
1⁄4 tsp pepper
1.5 bottles of the 240 oz Prego Fresh Mushroom (.5 will be up to the bottom of the letters Prego)
1/2cup Kraft Original Cheese Dip Cheez Whiz
2tsp salt
1⁄4 tsp pepper
1⁄2 tsp Basil McCormick
5 tsp white granulated sugar
3⁄4 of pasta box (more or less)
Instructions:
- Saute garlic and onions until slightly brown then add ground turkey
- Add Salt and Pepper
- Once meat is fully cooked, add sauce
- Mix and melt Kraft Cheez Whiz in
- Add salt, pepper, basil, and sugar
- When everything is mixed fully, add pasta
Optional White Sauce Topping (cooked on a separate pan):
Ingredients:
3.5tbsp unsalted butter
1 cup chopped mushroom (optional)
1 473ml pint heavy cream
1⁄4 tsp salt
3⁄4 cup (or more) shredded mozzarella (the packaged one)
Instructions:
- Melt Unsalted Butter on pan
- Add chopped mushroom
- Saute until mushrooms are cooked
- Add heavy cream, salt, and shredded mozzarella
- Wait until thick and creamy before topping it on the spaghetti
PS: I will add real actual photos of these soon! Hard to find time between this, the online shop, my corporate job, and mom life. But I promise, I will get to it!
